A few hours ago, we broke the news that Alia Bhatt has experienced a shooting pain in her shoulder on the sets of Shakun Batra's Kapoor and Sons in Kunoor, and is being rushed to a hospital in Coimbatore.
 
The news coming from the hospital is that Alia's joint between her shoulder and collar bone has shifted. 
 
The Student of the Year actress has been advised rest for at least two weeks. "They have only a couple of days left to shoot in Kunoor. Alia can't move her hand but she will shoot somehow for the next two-three days before she returns home," says her mother Soni Razdan.


 
So why did the joint shift? "I guess Alia had been working out at the gym a bit too much in the recent past," Soni reasons.
 
Alia will be off gym for at least four-six weeks and doctors have also advised her to slow down on her workouts.
 
For those who've come in late, Alia hurt her shoulder this afternoon when she was sitting in a posture which had transferred her body weight on her elbow.  Suddenly, she felt her shoulder snap followed by unbearable pain.

"The pain has subsided a bit now. She is on painkillers," Soni concludes.
